For Hans, tea has never been just a drink, it has always been a lifelong passion. While building a career in information technology, he found himself increasingly drawn to the world of exceptional loose-leaf tea, eventually earning his Tea Sommelier diploma and setting out to discover the people behind every harvest.

His journey led him far beyond tasting rooms and textbooks. From the tea estates of Malawi and Sri Lanka to the mountain villages of Myanmar, Nepal, Taiwan and Thailand, Hans built genuine relationships with tea farmers who cultivate their gardens with extraordinary care and respect for nature. By working directly with these producers, Tea Kulture ensures complete transparency, exceptional quality and fair compensation, while actively investing in projects that support education, healthcare and sustainable livelihoods within their communities.
