Dancing Flowers is a Portuguese herbal infusion made with cinnamon basil, peppermint, amaranth, marigold, and sunflower petals. Its beauty lies in its vivid colours: deep green leaves, bright pink and purple accents from amaranth, and the warm golden hues of blossoms. The blend is created by Chá Camélia, a producer in northern Portugal known for its small scale tea garden and authentic craftsmanship.

When brewed, it yields a clear golden infusion with an inviting aroma. Sweet cinnamon basil blends with the cool freshness of peppermint, while the flowers add a gentle, spicy undertone.

Tea Garden

Cha Camelia

In the north of Portugal, a few kilometres from the Atlantic coast, Nina Gruntkowski and Dirk Niepoort planted tea bushes on an abandoned vineyard near Vila do Conde. The Atlantic climate, with its humid air and mineral soil, gives the tea a character of its own: fresh, lightly saline and found nowhere else.

After eight years of care, the first harvest followed in 2019. Processing is done entirely by hand, using techniques the founders learned from Japanese tea masters. Chá Camélia is thus one of the few European tea gardens to enjoy international recognition.
